I. ESTABLISHMENT :

MAMCO Ltd. was established on 26th February, 1993 under Companies Act, 1956. Apart from agriculture produce marketing activities, MAMCO Ltd is also established to undertake various activities in Horticulture, Animal husbandry, Piggery, Fishery, Forestry and Sericulture as permitted under ‘Memorandum of Articles of Association’. {Memorandum of Articles of Association of MAMCO Ltd., Art. 3 (A) (1), a copy enclosed for reference}.

Serving its rightful purpose, MAMCO Ltd. had played a vital role in providing necessary service and support to the farmers. Up till 2016, MAMCO Ltd. had helped farmers in the buying and selling (marketing activities) of the following agriculture products :-

  1. Ginger
  2. Turmeric
  3. Sesame seeds
  4. Cotton
  5. Chilli

MAMCO Ltd. had helped the farmers substantialy by supporting them through ‘Construction of Markets under Horticulture Mission for North-East and Himalayan States (HNMEH)’, ‘Rural Primary Market (RPM)’ under ‘Mini-Mission Technology (MM-III’) and ‘Wholesale Market (WS)’. Between 2001-2009, MAMCO Ltd. had built106 Market Facilitation building in various villages. All the Market Buildings built by MAMCO Ltd. were given to the Commerce & Industries Department and had since played a vital role in storing agriculture products by the farmers.

To ensure maximum profit to the farmers, MAMCO Ltd. does not collect any ‘Agency fee’ or ‘Consulation Fee’ from the farmers, and instead works for the development and betterment of the farmers, serving its purpose as a Government Agency (PSU). 

As cited and permitted by the ‘Memorandum of Articles of Association’, MAMCO Ltd. has undertaken several activities to function as an independent organization. MAMCO Ltd. functions as an independent organization (without State Government support) by paying staffs and providing various Office necessities through the Agency Charge received from various ‘Project works (Constructions)’ undertakings, and till today survive without any ‘Liabilities’

 

 

II. PROJECT WORKS (CONSTRUCTION) :

 

MAMCO Ltd. has an ongoing Project Works (constructions) of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Khawzawl, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Mamit, and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Lunglei, which are near completion.

 The buiding works of JNV, Khawzawl is 100% completed and only a few development works remains. The construction works of JNV, Mamit is 95% completed and around 94% of the construction of KV, Lunglei has also been completed.

  IV. SUPPLY OF RICE :

 

An agreement deed was signed with the Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department on 6th March 2023 for the supply of Rice Grade-A from 24th March through 24th March, 2024. The supply work is undertaken with several ways possible and till today, a total of 1,25,445.26 qtls of Rice Grade-A had been supplied so far.
